I'm only giving this Pottery Barn 5 stars because of Josh, he has been amazing with helping me find what I needed, giving me awesome deals, helping me track my orders and just really on top of everything even though I know he's so busy. I did have to exchange some stools. Josh, unfortunately wasn't working on Wednesday, and I got stuck with the worst most rude employee named Robert. Apparently he had better things to do than help me exchange my stools and I can tell had no customer service experience. If you go to this Pottery Barn I suggest you look for Josh. It's sad that a furniture store would have staff such as Robert.

I called this Pottery Barn store to order a mirror that my local store in Dallas did not have in stock.  I called them and they hung up on me, I called back and they put me on hold for 10 minutes.  I called back a 3rd time, and I explained what happened the first 2 times, and I was greeted with a “What do you want?”  I asked for the store manager, and John Renaud said he was the store manager, and was extremely condescending before I even explained the situation.  He said he was busy helping other customers.  I explained that I had been looking for a certain mirror, and he said he had it in stock.  I explained that I needed more than one of these mirrors, and that other Pottery Barns honored the free shipping.  He said he didn’t care and that wasn’t a good enough reason, and he wanted $55 to ship a mirror from his store to my home.  

So rather than pay that $55, I just called another Pottery Barn, and they shipped the same mirror free of charge.  What’s the most disappointing is that while waiting for him to discuss it with his cashier, I heard him tell the cashier that he’ll try to get me to order it from another store so he didn’t have to do the paperwork.  Appalling!  PB is a great store at most locations, but this manager needs to learn how to treat customers, and, at a minimum, learn how to mute his phone so customers can hear his negative comments.
