Visited late afternoon 29 Nov. Cosy little bar near the centre of town. Great value 2 for 1 drinks and the bartender was super friendly. She made the experience for us!
Love this bar, and just wish they would be an actual Boston sports bar and could play the bruins and Celtics games in TV every night. Amazing staff and environment, but don’t claim to be a Boston sports bar if we can’t even put the games on TV! MAKE POUR HOUSE A BOSTON & DENVER SPORTS BAR AGAIN!
I am originally from Wisconsin. Born and raised. We went the "Wisconsin" bar across the street and although it had a Wisconsin THEME it felt absolutely nothing like a WI bar. There were only 5 seats at the bar and the rest of the place has booths. They even had the Cubs game on which would never happen back home. We decided to check out Pour House instead. It is EXACTLY the atmosphere of a WI. We felt so at home there and the bartender so super friendly and rad!
My sister and I were visiting from Dallas and stopped by for a few drinks. We had a great time. The bartenders were very nice with attentive service. It wasn't super busy but had a great atmosphere. We would definitely revisit if we make it back to Denver.
Kitchen is nothing to brag about with almost nothing to choose from. Order Guinness and it didn’t even come in a Guinness glass. The only person I saw working is a bar maid who said if we want to order something come to the bar. Just not impressed at all with this place as a “Pub”.
Cool chill bar, not crowded which was nice. Three levels but the upstairs patio wasn’t open. The best thing about the bar was Dave the bartender. Would love to come back in warmer weather!
After having a few drinks, I was in a dancing mood. And that's also thanks to the Pourhouse because they give hefty pours. I had a Bulleit Rye, which was $9 and you would probably get half of that in NYC, at a more expensive price. Maybe I still wasn't used to the sticker shock yet in a good way. Anyway, if you're looking for a place to sit down, they do have a rooftop terrace upstairs but it does get pretty loud. Downstairs is where the "dancefloor" was, where they play a steady stream of 90s music, at least on a Saturday night. The crowd is early 20s, so I did feel a little bit out of place but I didn't really care. I still had fun, nonetheless. Tip - there's a taco truck somewhere outside nearby not sure how often it's parked there, where you can get five al pastor tacos for $7. My BF says they might be the best tacos Al pastor he's ever had, but I think alcohol might have played in role in him saying that. They were pretty damn good though. And for $7?! You can probably get two tacos in NYC at that price, if you're lucky.
Awesome place to watch Boston sports in Denver. Super friendly staff and great vibe for a game. LFG!
First and foremost, this is a Boston sports bar. If you don't like Boston sports teams, it's better if you pass. I've been here a number of times now, and I can say that the food is solid, drinks are fairly priced and service is on point as well. Not too busy unless Boston is playing, anything. Good vibes and a fun spot to hang out in downtown Denver.
If youre a boston fan look no further. I wouldn't imagine going anywhere else for a Bs game. My bf and I love coming here for bruins game date nights and its actually where we met almost 3 years ago. The staff is amazing, the drink specials and prices can't be beat. The roof patio is awesome on warm weather days. This place can get rowdy during important Boston sports games so come early, grab a seat, and have a f***in blast. Also if you're just looking for that chill, casual bar vibe, all the staff members are amazing. You can't go wrong. Thanks to Harris for finding a way to keep this gem around through the pandemic
