Called and made an appointment for 3pm.  Got there 10 minutes early and the one lady in the salon (doing a woman's hair) looked surprised and asked if she could help me.  I told her I had a 3 pm appointment and she said her sister was coming.  Waited in the salon, which had no AC for 20 min.  Asked the lady when her sister was going to come.  She called her - they seemed to be arguing.  She simply tells me agin that he sister was coming.  After waiting an hour with no AC I told her I was leaving.  She asked me if I wanted to come back tomorrow.  Very unprofessional.

I was given a exact price for a trim and color over the phone for $75. When I went into the salon, ChiChi then told me that because my hair was thick, he would have to charge me $10 more, a total of $85. I didn't get that, as I believe most hair beauticians should be familiar with all types of hair but I was okay with paying that as I was sure he would do an excellent job. He did a "health cut" instead of the trim because my ends were damaged, again, that was fine even though it was shorter than I expected. My issue was with the dye job. I wanted to go with a blue black and as he applied it, I thought it was quite fast but he's the artist, I let him do what he does best. After sitting under the VERY HOT dryer for around 30 minutes, I was asked by the shampoo lady if I only had the top dyed black. I told her no, and she informed me that the color hadn't gone through. I was a bit aggravated but ChiChi was sure that it went through and kept reassuring me that it did. Eventually, after blow drying my hair, he noticed that it didn't dye completely black and assured me that it was the "shelf life" of the product and how he didn't if it was expired or not. Huh? 15 years of doing hair and you don't know how fresh dye is? I tried staying professional and brushing it off. It didn't look that bad from the mirror. After I paid, and tipped him, I noticed when I got home that he did a horrible job on my hair. It was splotchy with my natural brown showing, especially in the back and on top of my crown. He tried compensating me with a free dye job (and $45 for the style and deep condition) and I was polite but knew I wouldn't be returning. I recently purchased a box of blue/black garnier fructise and did a better dye job myself. I dyed my whole head, and it shows! Complete waste of $85 if you ask me.
