Precious Metal Arts is a Los Angeles jewelry studio located two blocks from the beach on Main Street in Santa Monica. We offer a variety of weekend and evening jewelry classes and workshops; small group and private tutoring in metalsmithing, wax carving, stone setting, and other jewelry techniques; full service custom jewelry design and repair; and a fine jewelry gallery featuring handcrafted sterling silver and karat gold by local and national jewelry designers.

I'm an aspiring jewelry designer and have been taking classes at Precious Metal Arts for over a year now.  I'm always learning something new there. Right now I'm learning stone setting. I love the small class size and the personal attention I receive in class. Peter is an amazing goldsmith, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and always very encouraging.  The studio is cute, located in a nice part of Santa Monica, clean, and you never know who is going to stop by and watch you work. I also enjoy learning from the other students.  The staff are also friendly and very helpful. This is my favorite place to take classes here in Southern CA.

Whether you want to take a jewelry class for fun or to develop a jewelry line Precious Metal Arts is the place for you. I have been attending the tutoring class for almost a year and I am constantly amazed at Peter's and his staff's expertise and knowledge. Truly, truly, Peter is one of the best instructors I have ever met. He is patient, encouraging and helps you achieve any design you have in mind. I absolutely love it here and look forward to each and every class I attend.
