Dr. Thompson is also now offering the option of laser assisted cataract surgery with the state-of-the-art LenSx laser. He is the first eye surgeon to offer this service in Shawnee for his patients! Dr. Thompson earned his B.S. in Biology from Oklahoma City University.
Dr. Thompson received his doctorate from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, OH, one of the oldest and most renowned osteopathic training hospitals in the country.
Dr. Thompson is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and maintains active memberships in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Osteopathic Association.
