This was my first visit to Primanti Brothers while in town on a business trip. I have heard about Primanti Brothers for years so I knew I had to check it out. I wasn’t sure what I was going to think since I started eating vegan in February of this year, but was delighted to find out that they had a southwest black bean burger I could order without cheese to stick to my way of eating since the slaw is vinegar based. This was also my birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful spot for a great birthday dinner while away from home. Everything was absolute delicious!
So I stopped in here because it was happy hour. My friend wanted a few drinks and half price she ordered a drink called the drunk dunk as well as the berry blast she had to make sure she got her drinks in before happy hour ended. I had the regular version margarita it was very good nice. She said her drinks were watered down and because she is the type of person who cannot drink underneath the table I believe her because it did not have any effect on her.. so as a result she ordered margarita in the flavor of apples. She was a little bit more impressed by this but not by much. I guess during happy hours they use the cheapest of liquor and as a result people don't get really what they want. I'm not sure I'm just saying who wants them as they pour the liquor and they did not use any of the top notch brand. That's one of the ambience is a moth so there are plenty of TVs all around a lot of people sitting at the bar as well as on the table and join the sports. I don't know what the food is like because I came here already for. However I will come by and just for the ambia she said she wouldn't come back because it's only takes one time to impress her
Came in there hungry and willing! Family and I are Buffalo natives so we got a lot of recommendations from close friends to try out Primantis and the food did not disappoint. In the words of my wife, “This is the best sandwich I’ve ever had!”. The atmosphere was amazing as well and staff were extremely friendly. I recommend stopping by whenever you’re in the area.
While visiting from Texas, we came here to eat! The atmosphere is lively and the food was super tasty! We finished the whole pizza!!! I’ve also been told the sandwiches are to die for, they looked very good and huge!
It was ok. Service was good. Food was overrated. I do not like vinegar based coleslaw and it did not taste good on my sandwich. Plus, they were out of a 75% of their appetizers
The food is good. The atmosphere is a prissy bar--use a glass if you order beer. The "whole pickle" is the way to go to accompany the sandwich; no pickle is on the sandwich itself, though the menu description of the whole pickle seems to imply other pickles that are not listed and not present already on the sandwich.
Unique experience for sandwiches. I thought I was getting a steak and cheese buuuut this is what came out! Sirloin and cheese…and this is the big boy style. I could only eat half. This has French fries, lettuce, Italian dressing and cheese. I gave this 4 stars because the menu did not seem clear to me.
Stopped in for a cold beer - was not disappointed! Friendly staff and a 1/2 price happy hour made the experience even better. Although I did not try one the sandwiches looked amazing !
I figured out very quickly why their sandwich is called a Pittsburgh classic. I tried the original one with pastrami, it comes with slaw vinagre -based and fries inside the sandwich, all packed up neatly. It's a must-try.
I ordered the delux double egg and cheese, and there was basically one egg that didn't even cover the sandwich. I got home and had to make my own egg to add to it. I understand they get really busy, but thumbs down on the presentation. My sandwich was all bread!
