We moved to Primary Pediatrics from Pullman & Arizza, largely because we live in Silver Spring and were tired of driving to Georgetown.  At first it felt like any other group practice (impersonal but competent) until one appointment where we saw Dr. Louis Bland.  Dr. Bland is GREAT with our 2 year old Brian.  Brian has asthma and respiratory issues and Dr. Bland's bedside manner was comforting and engaging, he went through a treatment plan with us that got Brian's asthma under control and, during an especially rough time where Brian's breathing was shallow and his wheezing seemed to be really bad, Dr. Bland schedule him every 3 days to check on his progress with the treatment plan.  Now when I call, I specifically ask for Dr. Bland and it seems like a personal practice for us.  And it's also good to know that, if for some reason, Dr. Bland is not available, everyone else is competent.
