Horrifying after install - handed me blank permit because they never went and picked up the permit.  They installed the ac/furnace without having picked up and paid for the furnace and then tried to tell me I didn't need a permit in the first place.  Do not trust this company - their administrative skills are horrible.

Pro Temp of Illinois provides excellent service!  Jamie came out to my home to provide an estimate for a new furnace and AC.  Jamie was very knowledgeable and helped me get the right system for my home.  He also didn't try to up sell anything which was a relief since other HVAC companies that I had come to do estimates always tried to up sell me.  Once, I signed the contract for the new system, the installers came a few days later to install the system.  The installers were very nice and professional.  They took the time to lay down covers on the rugs so they wouldn't track dirt into the house.  Overall, the install was well done and quality work!  I would definitely recommend Pro Temp of Illinois!  They do great work and have fair prices!

Great Company. Came out quickly and gave a very competitive quote, were very knowledgeable and helpful. New furnace and A/C installed 2 days after quote. Lucas the installer was top notch. He was very polite, informative and professional. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience.

We (husband and wife) will start by saying that we are very pleased with the work Pro Temp did for us and we have already recommended the company to others.

Fair Price – A competitor gave us an estimate that sounded very high.
We then called Pro Temp, and based on our description, Jamie gave us an estimate that sounded fair and reasonable.  We scheduled an estimate appointment.  As we did further research, we realized that the first competitor had given us a price that was very inflated.

Professional and Knowledgeable – when Jamie came to our home to provide the final estimate, we were impressed by the questions he asked and his deep attention to detail.  We had a complex job, and we felt he was being very thorough, so that we all had a realistic view of what this project would entail. 

Impartial and honest - We were also impressed with his depth of knowledge on HVAC systems. He was able to tell us the pros and cons of different systems.  We did not feel that he was “selling” to us.  Instead, we felt that he was being a consultant – educating us on the products available, outlining pros and cons of each, and making recommendations as to what would be most suitable for our needs.  At one point, we discussed possibly needing a new water heater.  He took a look at ours, and recommended we obtain a plumber to check out the entire plumbing system, rather than purchasing a new water heater from them at this time.   Bottom line, we felt that Jamie was honest and we had the reassuring feeling that we were in good hands.

Complex job – Our job involved the purchase of two 98% high-efficiency furnaces replacing two 80% efficient furnaces. The less efficient furnaces were located in the center of our basement venting up a chimney. Because of the nature of high efficient furnace venting, our new system required four 4 inch PVC runs (air intake and exhaust for two furnaces). Each run was greater than 45 feet in length. Lucas and his team did a remarkable job. We also purchased a new high SEER air conditioner to replace a broken unit, but the project also included the immense task of moving our two condenser units, including all electrical and piping, from the north side of our house to the south side of our house. They again did a very professional job, including removing any evidence (electrical and plumbing) of the prior units’
previous location. Other aspects of the project included the installation of two new humidifiers, air purification systems and iComfort thermostats.

Professional and Respectful of our Home
When Lucas and his team arrived to do the work, we saw that they were well-informed on what needed to be done..  They worked efficiently and when the work was complete, they cleaned and left everything neat.  We felt that they were respectful of our home.

I recently had my air conditioning and furnace installation done at my home and I would like to commend the excellent demonstration of this installation. The technicians were professional and made sure that the job was done right and ensured that I was comfortable with the new equipment. What a great experience!!! Thanks.
