Had really high expectations for this restaurant and while some of the dishes were the best I've had in LA, the overall experience did not meet the expectations. I was really excited to see that they had an anniversary menu and it was a pretty good value for being able to go to Providence. However, I found the service lacking and slow at times and while friendly, wasn't the warm embrace I've found at other higher end restaurants. Some of the dishes like their version of mushroom soup blew me away and their steak was amazing. But others like their salmon and the bread selection were not something I'd pay for again. Overall, I can see that it gets Johnathan Gold's 101 list but maybe I need to opt for the full menu. On to the next spots on the list!

My absolute favorite restaurant in Los Angeles! Impeccable service and amazing quality food. Presentation is fantastic as well. Pre-set menus, I always go for #2. The first one is pretty small, and the third one is waaay too much food. If you drink, definitely take the menus with wine paring, it's so worth it! Note: the prices are pretty steep. Tasting menu #2 will set you back $180 (or $275 with wine) per person. However, it's worth every penny!

This Five Star restaurant has Five Star service, tiny portions because the food has so much flavor and taste and Five Star prices because the amount of work just to create one dish is unbelievable. Still wish the portions were a bit more american than french. This restaurant is for those of you who have DISPOSABLE income. Not living from paycheck to paycheck. As a meal for two runs over $195, just at a basic level and you can easily spend 4. Still a super fantastic dining experience as they have a menu that pairs all these tapas like seafood dishes, with different flutes of wines, and champagne. pretty fancy pants but I loved it. And the service. INCREDIBLE. Want to impress a date and make her think you have a GAZLILLIAN DOLLARS IN THE BANK this is your spot. FIVE STAR FINE DINING at its best. LOVED IT.

One of the most expensive restaurant in LA. If you like sea food or celebrate the day then I recommend you go here. Balance, presentation and flavor of food were awesome!! The A5 wagyu doesn't need explaining!!! The service was perfect!!! Still don't know why Michelin cancelled the starred restaurant in LA but this one deserves 2 stars and even 3 stars!

Simply the best dining experience. The Chef's tasting menu is just too much food, in a good way. The presentation, the flavors, the service are all top notch. Get a dish with black truffle if they still have it, risotto or pasta, you won't be sorry. Anniversary, business, to impress your date, or just because you love a well prepared meal, any occasion is the right occasion for this restaurant. I would go back; I have been back; and I'll be back again.
