Story

Providence Tavern is a friendly neighborhood bar boasting 14 beers on tap and happy hour 3-7 daily. The kitchen offers specialty salads, upscale appetizers, hearty sandwiches...and the best burger in the Denver area! Located just west of Sloan's Lake, the covered (and heated) patio is the perfect place to meet friends.
The kitchen closes at 10 pm Sun-Thurs, 12 am Fri-Sat. The bar is always open 'till 2 am.

Cute! Patio was being misted. Perfect for a cozy Saturday get away. Nice staff. Not noisy on patio either. Can have a great conversation without yelling over music! Great happy hour!

It's official... my coworkers wont go here with me anymore... We have gone here several times throughout the year with groups of 4-10 people for Friday happy hour and have had up and down experiences. Prices are great, but the service is sucks. The last two times that we went, their waitress (Carrie) acted like she was upset that we were even there. She informed us several times that the place does not "split checks" which is fine (even though I don't know how in 2017 this isn't possible...) but every time someone wanted to leave, she got nasty about it. My friend gave her a bad tip this last time and she actually came to our table to yell at the rest of us who were still enjoying happy hour. That's pretty crappy... Look, I organize a lot of Friday happy hour kinda things, and have for years. I've had lots of up and down experiences. Good prices and decent beer are not worth the hassle of bad/angry service. If you are looking for a place to go with 1-2 people, then I'm sure the Providence Tavern is fine. I'd recommend that you avoid it with larger groups until they clear up the "check splitting" thing and steer clear of their patio on Fridays when Carrie is working!

Intimate, local-feeling bar and grill. Creative food, especially on Sunday brunches. Good mixed drink and great service. I'm glad to have this place in my backyard!

We found this spectacular little gem on our way home and are completely in love with it now! Fantastic patio seating, lots of seating inside. Brunches on Sat and Sun, some of the best burgers I've tasted in Denver so far! Philly cheese steak is also a tasty dish as was the Snakebites and hummus plate. The flavors of everything we tried was mouth watering and put a smile on our faces. Jennifer our server was pleasant and very informative and the manager Sheamus was very friendly and took time to educate us on the different menu items and what the staff and customers really like. The atmosphere is relaxed, relatively quiet and as the sun sets absolutely the perfect ending to the work day! If you've never been here, shame on you, you owe it to yourself to stop in!

I've been working in the area and frequenting some of the local Edgewater places for lunch, dinner, and drinks, and the Providence Tavern is definitely a stand out spot! Tim the bartender is attentive and friendly! Awesome job guys!
