Story

Tennyson's Tap is a locals-owned neighborhood live music pub combined with a recording studio and art gallery. Inspired by the good old days and devoted to the success of today's thriving arts and entertainment scene in historic Berkeley Highlands-- the Tap is a part(y) of a community who has for a hundred years been united by an obsession with art, music, culture and good times. It's all about the music, and we specialize in Colorado-born Spirits and Brews.

Tennyson's Tap holds a unique position in the ever-growing and historic Tennyson Street Cultural district in Northwest Denver, as the only pub that is a live music venue with an art gallery and recording studio. It's the ideal hangout for artists and musicians, and their friends and fans. The former dive bar was completely gutted and renovated by new local owners-- themselves a family of musicians and artists and recording engineers-- and opened in January 2011. Find us on the corner of 38th & Tennyson, in the Berkeley Highlands neighborhood.

We feature all genres of music and entertainment, but we're very selective to ensure you can always count on hearing only the best entertainment around. Please see our website for lots of info and links to hear more about who is performing.

Check facebook and the website events calendar for shows including all genres excellent live music, art, and comedy, often booked weeks in advance but occasionally at the last minute. Come in to enjoy the local nightlife, swing by for a nightcap on your way home from the Oriental Theater or stop in to enjoy the drink specials-- and parties all the time!
