After seeing it on TV, I started going to a Publix coupon website who introduced me to coupon stacking, which they stated was supported by various Publix's across the nation. I used two manufacturer coupons on a frozen food item to eat at lunch and was happy with the savings. The next week, I tried the same thing and was told by the clerk that I could not stack coupons and the person who rang me up before had done it in error. After leaving, I called and inquired with a manager if they allowed it and the manager stated that she had never heard of coupon stacking before and that they did not allow it. Seeing as the manufacturer pays Public the value of the coupon plus an additional $0.08, I don't see what's the issue with allowing customers this savings route, or at least not being uniform on it.
