I usually go to the Publix on Van Dyke Road,  excellent customer service.  The pharmacist at this Publix was very rude and snarky, definitely not coming back to this location.

A few years ago, I stopped going to this store when I realized their deli chickens were not as good.  However, yesterday, I was driving right by this store and didn't need a chicken, so I stopped here.  What a mistake!  I wanted a watermelon, but they had no whole watermelons out.  I asked someone about this, since it's June and of course there should be watermelon in June.  He went to the back and got one for me.  It was frozen, which I thought was weird, but I accepted it.  I was annoyed I did not get to pick out my own melon, as most people in our culture get to pick the item they want.  An item is not typically forced upon us in a store.  So, the next day I cut into the melon and it was total mush!!!!!  I don't mean mildly mushy.  I mean it was no longer even edible.  Think of processed apple sauce that has been left out over night.  That was the texture of the watermelon.  It was perfectly red inside, so it used to be good.  However, this store absolutely destroyed this watermelon by freezing it.  Shame on them.

This is probably the best grocery store I’ve ever shopped at: friendly baggers, great customer service desk, excellent sales/coupon offers, and great selection of food.
