Not pleased, they could've been honest when it came to the prognosis of my dog. My dog spent the night and after meeting there demands for lots of money and being told I had to take her to my regular vet the next day, I ended up having to euthanize my dog. So grateful that Mesa Vet was honest, compassionate and explained in detail what was going on with my dog. Pueblo needs another choice for an Emergency Vet!!!

Cost of treatment is very high but they have to keep the place going on just a few animals per night sometimes. The doctor and most of the staff were polite and professional. Around midnight my dog started treatment. No delay at the door. 2 updates from medical staff before the first hour had past. Unfortunately this is where my review will start to look like the other legitimate reviews ie the ones with one or two stars. [Note: almost every good review is from a "local guide" -- a review poster working toward goals in a point system scheme] 3:24 am dog remains critically ill per them. We are already on our 3rd demand for immediate payment. They have just threatened to discontinue treatment if I don't find a way to pay in full (The lower of 2 estimated costs) in the middle of the night. It is worth noting that a check was provided 1.5 hours ago for $1000.00. They are unable to verify that it is good at 2am. So they pretend no payment has been provided and as I mentioned...came out to the waiting room to threaten to pull the plug on his treatment. The few times we have had to come in we have been treated with great respect and our dogs have been treated wonderfully. One of my favorite things though, is in a middle-of-the-night issue being able to call and being guided on whether or not I need to come in or if I can monitor and see my vet in the AM. This is so much appreciated and saved me many emergency vet bills over the years.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience!!!! READ THE REVIEWS AND DO NOT GO HERE!! I took mylab here because she was having a seizure and unfortunately my regular vet was out of town for the holiday they say it's a $95 emergency room visit fee they required me to pay $500 when I walked in the door before they would even look at my poor lab. The staff is very very unfriendly rude and absolutely no compassion or a heart for pets! They find every possible thing they can charge you for an eat up that $500 as fast as possible and tell you they need more money. They immediately told me my lab had a brain tumor and needed a CAT scan and an MRI they said they wanted to keep her overnight give her stronger drugs and that I would need to pay an additional $500! When I told the doctor I did not want to do that and then I would just like to take my dog home, she literally blew up and threw a fit like a three-year-old. She flung the door open alost hitting me, she then yelled down the hall to yank the catheter and get her out of here and make me sign an AMA. I was absolutely beside myself at the unprofessionalism that this so-called doctor demonstrated! Ellen Labachi is the so-called Veterinarians name. I went home and did some research on my own and realize she was showing signs of having a toxin in her bloodstream I immediately administered doses of activated charcoal every 4 hours and in the next 12 hours she started coming around and today she is in full recovery. I and taking every step I could possibly think of to take action on these people they're absolutely crude and greedy

If I could give them zero stars I would. My first encounter they charged over 900 dollars to rip a puppy out of my Chihuahua killing the puppy. On the second encounter, I brought my 3 month old border collie mix puppy in sick from parvo and before they would even look at her they wanted a 500 deposit. My puppy passed away while on the examination table without even being looked at. After she had passed and even regurgitated she asked me if I wanted to recessitate her because she still had a heart beat WHEN SHE DID NOT. All they care about is the money there not your pets. Look else where for a 24 hour if you truly love your pets!
