This place is excellent for free range dog park. As a respect to others, pick up and pack out dog your dog poo (no trash service here). Keep dogs leashed on path from lot (hefty ranger fines for off leash). Keep your dog that is off leash in off leash area only, locals like to use the park's surrounding paths free of dogs jumping on them, too. It's a happy balance for dogs & non-dog people.

A great place the hike and walk your dog. There's a off-leash area also for your dogs. I've seen coyotes in the area so watch your small dogs. There's also a paved area known as the Cordilleras Trail that is a good Wheel Chair- Handicapped access trail. There's two parking areas, one is small and the other is more less street parking.

One of the few open spaces mid-peninsula that allows dogs. The park contains a number of great trails of varying length to choose from, all of which offer great views. To top this off, a central area in the park allows dogs to be let off-leash. This ensures everyone in the family gets exercise and has fun.

Nice trails and a little bit of history as this used to be a tb sanatorium in the past. Also, there are some nice views of the bay but the trails are mostly exposed.

Short (couple miles) hike, good mix of nice shady areas and open areas under the hot sun. Little field bunnies and lizards frequently cross your path. Go about 1/3 mile in to escape the I-280 noise hell, typical 1950's mentality to divide the Bay Area's open space with a massive freeway. Once in a little ways the freeway buzz is gone and you can pretend to be in nature, lots of critters around, if you can tune out the faint hum of small-plane noise in the distance. Signposts are really confusing as they don't seem to distinguish trails from vehicle access roads
