My girlfriends tortoise escaped yesterday.

Giant Thank You to Officer Irvine of the Punta Gorda Police Department for picking up my African tortoise Sahara in Punta Gorda Today! ❤️❤️He was safely contained at the Peace River Wildlife Center after pushing open the door to the porch and taking a tour of the town while I was at work in Naples. We are visiting after our home was damaged by  Hurricane  Irma. He has been a family member for 22 years. We are so grateful to have him home.

Now there is no way im going in any state in which they train their police in this Manor.  This wasn't an accident, it was a matter of incompetence on their part.  An officer put a bullet in that gun and an officer pulled the trigger.  You know the first rule of gun safety is YOU DON'T POINT A GUN AT ANYONE.  Wonder where I heard that before.  You really go out of your way to kill the citizens of this country in an act to terrorize us.  Been going to Florida for 22 years for vacation every year but after this we are taking our chances in Mexico.  Find a beautiful resort town, and avoid the blood thirsty cops who do nothing but patrol the streets looking for people to harass.

Punta Gorda's  Police department believes in service to the public.. Our Police officers sponsor and participate  in programs for youth development.  Ours is the second safest City of its size  in the State of Florida,  for the benefit of us all.

Department has a history of abusing the DAVID system for personal use. Bad policies and practices lead to the murder of Mary Knowlton. By far the worst LEO agency in SWFL.
