From behind the scenes.. I worked at this place for about 6 months. The groomers were all cool. One of the bathers got pretty rough for no real reason sometimes though. The owner would barely handle the dogs and WOULD NOT for anything touch a cat.... Scared to death of them.. When I worked there one other person besides myself would groom the cats. That's it. Everyone else was terrified of them. I was the employee who stayed after hours on Christmas eve because I was asked. I stayed after hours unpaid to watch the groomers and learn some of the trade. I'd help make the bows for the pet's hair. I loved it. I found out shortly after the holidays I was Pregnant. I was told when I was hired I would be offered the opportunity to move up from bather and be trained as a groomer. She offered the position to another employee who'd been there longer first (which was fair), but when that employee declined the offer, she never offered the position to me. In fact, I went to her (being straight forward and proactive) and said I'd be interested if she was still looking to promote someone. Her exact words: "No, because you are pregnant.." Shortly after that my car malfunctioned. I could not find a ride for anything. I asked my employer. I asked co-workers for help. I tried for 2 days to figure out a bus route that might get me close enough to walk.. Nope. Needless to say I lost my job for failure to appear at work but it's certainly nice to know who is behind the counter. I can give them one credit: They usually do great grooming.

I will encourage readers to judge the review-ERS in addition to the reviews. Never been here myself, but I'm certain Purr-fect Pets is relieved to know these 1-2*-reviewing clients are never returning. I advise everyone reading to consider the reviews these people have posted about other businesses they've visited. Independent thought may be on life-support, but it's not dead yet!

My dog received severe eye trauma from a bath and nail cutting. When I noticed it on the ride home, I immediately called. No responsibility. Took my dog home and went back up with pictures. They said it was caused by stress. I don't know how stress can bloody an eye and make it swollen. At ER now, vet says trauma. No responsibility from owner or groomer. No refund or offer to pay vet bills. Beware!!!

I had the BEST expirence at PURR-fect pets!! The staff was amazing very friendly! They were really sweet and gentle with my dog! I even got to watch while they trimmed his nails! My dog has never looked so good! I will be coming here again soon!!

Lucky has been going since he was pup.. I'm not sure if the place is under new management, but after the attitude I received this morning about dropping my dog off earlier than his scheduled appointment (which has NEVER been an issue before) I'll never go back. If this is how you treat the people paying you I hate to see how you treat my dog in the back. Snide, rude, and an I don't care attitude.. not worth my hard earned cash.
