I went to Ra for lunch in Plano and Abel along with Alex and a few others gave us a truly great experience. One has always thought that true customer service was dead, but not here. They were attentive and made us feel special. We will be going back.

I like this place and feel bad about giving it three stars, but I’ve been several times and the experience is also good, but never great. The food is good, the staff is nice, and the atmosphere is decent, but nothing stands out as above other restaurants.

We live in Austin but it was our 2nd time here - always exceptionally good sushi and service. Recommend to try Vegas sushi - it's delicious!

Very mediocre sushi in a city with many really great sushi options.  It's convenient if you're in the shops at Legacy area, but definitely not worth a trip otherwise.  There are SO MANY better options nearby.

I have been a server for 6 years and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

After we left, our server (Mikala) chased us out the door, across the street, yelling “Was there something wrong with your service? You didn’t even tip me 15%.” And when I say yelling, I mean YELLING. She made an absolute scene.

We responded with yes, the service was bad. She got our order wrong twice and was rude when we asked her to fix it. We asked for thinly sliced lemons on our Alaskan roll. She said, “why, does it change the taste or something?” We said “yes, it does. It’s very good, we highly recommend it.” It’s called a lemon drop roll at other sushi restaurants. We order it at every sushi restaurant we go to, including other RA locations, and we’ve never had a problem.

We tipped her $1 under 15% due to her condescending attitude and unwillingness to correct our order. She never took our sushi back, instead she just brought us sliced lemons.

After the encounter, as she stormed back towards the restaurant, I followed her and asked if I could talk to her. I tried to explain why we felt the way we did. I’ve been a server for a long time, so I thought I could help her improve. She responded with, “I’m not wasting any more of my breath on you. I’m telling the rest of the staff what you look like so they know not to serve you again.”

I am absolutely appalled by this server’s behavior. I’ve never been treated so badly at a restaurant. If my manager ever saw me CHASE a customer out the door, across the street, and YELL at them because I was unhappy with my tip... I would be fired on the spot. Completely unacceptable. I would never treat a customer with this level of disrespect.

So thank you, Mikala, for ruining our afternoon and literally bringing me to tears. Don’t worry, we will not be coming back to RA ever again.
