Rainier Beach Veterinary Hospital is a full-service hospital. We have walk in hours of 9 am til 11 am SATURDAY ONLY! During the week, we are by appointment only, Please call and we will get you set up with a time to be seen by the doctors. Appointments run until 5 pm during the week.

my baby barkly, he was 15 years old had a great life he passed a July 6 2017 and I took him here to get cremated.. the woman told me that I was the first person in 5 years to have their pet cremated here.. and I was shocked and the staff was very friendly and even the other clients behind me were very supportive and showing there respect for my loss it was very touching I love this place for that and it's some thing I'll never forget great staff and loving people

Dr. Young is truly the most compassionate gifted vet I have ever known. I can’t say enough about the wonderful care he has given our family’s animals over the past 35 years. I am so grateful to have a Vet that loves animals just as much as I do!

Dr Young has been an excellent vet, my 12 year old West Highland Terriers entire life. He spade her, and has given her vaccinations. Also when she has had a dental issue, two times, he has extracted a broken tooth, and done cleanings. I know several other people, who have taken their pets as well, he is kind, good with animals, and has always worked hard, to have very reasonable pricing for all of my pets needs!! I HIGHLY recommend this Veterinarian, Dr Young!! He is compassionate, and very kind!!!

Dr. Young has been an icon to this community for many generations . For hundreds of people in this neighborhood this veterinary clinic is the only place we take our pets to feel loved and cared for at an affordable rate.

We have happily taken our dogs to Dr. Young over the past 17 years. Never an issue. I would never have considered another clinic ever. I referred every friend I knew. Our dogs have stayed there every year while we are on vacation. HOWEVER, this year 2017 our experience significantly changed . Arrived to pick up our dog early and he hadn't been washed or nails cut as agreed upon. He smelled horrific and has a bacterial infection on his lower tail. He looked and acted miserable. The staff would not let our adult friend pick up our dog as we have always done and we would pay a week later once we returned. Same scenario every year no issues. This year, our friend arrived to pick him up and they said no, the policy changed. Would have been nice to know in advance as we were out of the country and the thought of our dog being held an extra week was ridiculous. There is a name for that...just sayin. Thank goodness our friend paid the $400+ bill. Never again will our dogs be left there. It would be like leaving your child in a day care gone totally to the left. Upon further questioning, I learned Dr. Young is no longer there. That's it! The staff is discombobulated and all over the place and that is not there fault, that is a management issue. Sad to say yet it is the truth. It was good while it lasted. Addios.
