I had the opportunity to speak with the manager of the store about a miscommunication from my mother. He happily went above and beyond to satisfy her over what was her mistake. The selection is excellent and the service is impeccable at Raley's and I recommend it highly.

I want to give this grocery store more stars but THE PRICES ARE SO HIGH. They do have a nice deli and meat counter, and fresh desserts, some cakes you can special offer. The flower selection is very well Beautiful flowers, ya I'll go up one star for that alone! The employees all seemed very willing to help and their where a lot of employees around. Service isn't an issue at this store. I bought most of the things I usually buy at a grocery store  and every singly item was more money, I mean a lot more! A jar Pickles, same brand I usually buy was$1 more ($3.99 vrs $2.99) then regular prices elsewhere. Every item was about that much difference. That's disappointing since we're staying in this area for a while, but it is a clean and welcoming place. Just expensive. So be prepared for that..

I've started using the e-cart service lately and absolutely love it.  Couldn't be easier and it's nice to know how much I spend before I spend it.

On Sunday 22nd October at 11.45am, Ms Bailey, a young rude and very disrespectful checkout staff was very unprofessional.

It all began when apparently I was standing a little too close for her comfort behind another shopper who was paying. She told me to “stand back” in a manner that was not very nice. She then went on with her rude body language, rolling her eyes and shaking her head. She asked me if I wanted a bag for 10cents, I said no. However my husband did not hear this so he was unaware.

Coming from Australia, our systems, culture and traditions are not the same as in America. We do not pay for bags at the supermarket so this was new to us. Without realising, my husband started putting items in the bag. Ms Bailey very rudely snatched the bag literally out of his hands and commented “they cost money, they are not free”.

There was another couple behind us who witnessed the entire incident. If the store has a camera, please replay this and view it for yourself. 

Does the store not have any training programs on what is correct/acceptable professional customer service? Is Ms Bailey not trained? She has to be reprimanded or sacked. She was completely out of line. This is not how any customer should be treated. She is the reflection and representation of the company. She is also reflecting her country.
