This is going to be a very long review, but I'll make it short. 

First things first.. The wait..
I honestly get an appointment for everything, however when it comes to picking up my personalized license plates after 5 long months... We play the waiting game.

I decided to go to the Rancho DMV for my license plates since it was closer to me and more of a convenience. Let me say nothing about this DMV is convenient.. You walk in the door early in the morning and stand in a very long line for 40 minutes. Why? Because you have to get a ticket prior to being seated so you can be waited on by a teller. After getting your ticket B189 you look up to see B108.

Great.. so let's go further in.

You wait patiently 2 hours sitting down to see a teller for your license plates. When your called you show proof of registration, the license plates to surrender and the mail slip that was sent to you.

But wait there's more.

Your told you can't have the plates assigned because the vehicle is registered in a family members name and not yours. (Show car that is signed off but have been putting off transferring the title for the past 4 months.)

After debate for 10 mins your told you need to have a written convent form filled out by the family member listed as the registered owner. Then come back.

Here's the really fun part.

Waiting in the first line again! 
One you have your golden ticket, you gotta wait in line seated for a teller all over again.
1 1/2 hours later you finally get seen.

What happens next?
Not so sure, I'm still in line as I'm writing this review....

I planned ahead this time and made an appointment. I arrived a half hour early and cruised the small parking lot with a hope that I would be able to get into a parking space. No such luck. Fifteen minutes after my scheduled appointment I left the facility parking lot to wait for a better day.

My results here have been hit and miss. I have been there on several occasions and found the people at the counter to be incredibly rude.  The last time I was there, the woman was quite friendly and efficient.  The wait is always ridiculously long, though. Yes, I know you can do some things without going to the DMV. Believe me, I would absolutely do that, if it were an option for what I needed to do.

The bottom line is, my experience has been 75/25 in favor of dealing with incredibly rude employees at the DMV. My experience with having a ridiculously long wait, even with an appointment is 100 percent.

I understand this is a dmv but I've been waiting 3 hours to turn in a single piece of paper. I understand the long lines, I understand appointments come first but they seriously need help in here. They need a few people to work on just walk ins. There are more walk ins then anything but the number hardly increases. There was 38 people ahead of me.. 3 hours later only 12 people have been called. I pray the customer service is better than this wait... very unsatisfied.

Had an appointment for my daughter to take her written drivers license test, all lines went quickly, minimal waiting.  When we got to the photo line the worked snapped at me to go sit in the waiting area, told her I wanted to check with my daughter to make sure she had all the necessary paperwork and to wish her good luck. Worker snapped at me again to go to the waiting area, as I left she rolled her eyes at me.  After her test my daughter confided that the worker made several comments about me.  Inappropriate and unprofessional, and worse...figuring out how to make a complaint...website takes you in circles.
