Sometimes it is a good experience I am a local but that truly depends on who you encounter behind the register. One in particular woman is always rude and always feels like she needs to point out what we are not doing right. On multiple occasions we have encountered her being friendly and laughing with the people in front of us sometimes several different transactions in front of us but when it is our turn at the register she says nothing at all to us unless it is to micromanage the way we placed our items on the counter or how we count our change out to give her exact change or has even gone as far as to remember the amount on our food stamp card from a transaction a week before and decided to voice this out loud in front of everyone waiting behind us I guess in an attempt to ask is are you sure you have enough for this transaction. Which I found to be kind of weird that she would even remember the remaining balance from a purchase a week before. Yes I am aware the food stamp receipts show your remaining balance on your card. But why our card? Why would she feel that voicing it out loud in front of everyone would be appropriate behavior? I choose to kill her with kindness and force her to have to engage with us (Her customers.) By this I mean she truly will say nothing to us at all we will come up to the register and she won't even say hello sometimes she doesn't even look at us. So I ask her how her day is? I always tell her to have a nice day when we are done with our transaction. Sometimes I get a very vague Bland response and other times even when there are no people waiting for assistance behind us she won't say anything at all in responce to me telling her to have a good night. We have encountered her treating other customers the same way on a couple of occasions. On another occasion I had bought groceries while my boyfriend was using the restroom. When he came out he decided he wanted to get some cigars she had bagged my items already and I began to grab the bags from the counter so my boyfriend could purchase cigars. She looked at me and said isn't he going to grab any of those? Insulted and shocked but realizing the situation I replied by saying well he is going to purchase some cigars first then she said that doesn't mean he can't grab any of the bags. My boyfriend is always very courteous and has no problem carrying the bags but in the past she has made a big deal about the way we place our items on the counter because it leaves no room I decided to move the bags before he purchased cigars so they would not be in the way and it would not be an issue. This was very very unprofessional and disrespectful and adding to that already huge insult she did this in front of other customers. Another occasion we had quite a few items there were a couple people that only had a couple of items so even though we had our items on the counter we move them over a little and told the two people they could go ahead of us. She then made the comment to one of those customers that we just made it completely inconvenient for her then looked at us and said in the future don't place your items on the counter unless you're actually ready to be checked out. My boyfriend had to leave because they're the closest grocery store to us. We don't have transportation at this time to go to Boise so we have to be able to buy groceries here and if he had chosen to speak his mind we probably wouldn't be allowed back. We were honestly trying to be courteous of other customers there's not a lot of room in the store by the registers. There was no reason for her actions. We honestly try to avoid the store whenever she is working. Seriously to go in somewhere to do something as simple, normal and repetitive as buying a few groceries then to leave there every time feeling micromanaged degraded disrespected and singled out. Her self-entitlement disgust me. She doesn't have appropriate customer service skills. I expect that experience at supermarket not a small town store. The stress from the very few customers she encounters daily can't be that bad.

What I like about Rays corner is they have ethanol free gas and you can purchase your hunting licences here. It's also very friendly and has that small town feel.

Love this gas station always stop here on my way back to McCall and on our way to Boise best diesel sold here as well and clean rest rooms.

I like to stop at this little store because they offer 87 ethanol free aka clear gas at the pump. They have nice goodies inside for the travellers. The bathroom is on the far side through the grocery store part.
