Best place in GR to get breakfast! I've pretty much gotten everything on the menu and I can tell you that every single thing is fantastic! 

Their hidden gem (that I've personally never seen anyone else order), is their Mocha shake. They use grounds from some local company (forgive me for not remembering), and it's absolutely delicious. 

Try a shake with your breakfast! (or lunch!)

I was a huge fan up until today. I got some to go corn beef hash and Polish sausage (she charges $4 for 1 piece of sausage from GFS. I know that it's from there because I asked previously because I like it so much. That's also why I pay so much.) I live about a minute and a half away. My food was ice cold and not cooked all the way. Called and the employees were amazing and said not a problem they would recook it. I brought up the old stuff that was cold and not cooked all the way. The manager comes up with my food and the first words out of her mouth are "we can't guarantee you that your food will be hot when you get home so we won't do this again." Seriously? I live in minute and a half away. we have a family of five who gets food all the time to go along with my daughter's family who has five people in it also and this was nothing like we are used to. The manager who is also the owner was so extremely rude and argumentative that I will never ever be back and I have never done that to a restaurant before in my life.

Another Awesome Breakfast at Real Food Cafe! We had the best breakfast! The Veggie Hash was THE BEST I have ever had this dish here! Yum! And the light, fluffy biscuits & homemade house-seasoned Sausage Gravy was outstanding!

Eating breakfast at this restaurant is a unique experience that is well worth the wait and worth many returns. This was only our 2nd time eating here since we live 12.5 hours away, but we were looking forward to returning since the first busy. Great food options, wonderful service, pleasant atmosphere.

Average breakfast fare for the area.  I used to frequent the Alger Heights location which has fantastic atmosphere, so I brought some friends from out of town to the Plainfield location.  Kind of sterile and boring, the coffee very clearly had some kind of issue.  Wish I had gone to the other location, or picked something better.
