Rebeccas
"Rebeccas food is best described as modern American cuisine marked with classical French technique and simplicity. The food is inventive, using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. The menu changes daily and with the seasons. Reza and Rebecca, both chefs in their own right and co-owners, have a strong commitment to the quality of the food and the integrity of their menu. The food is unbelievably good. Many entrees and dishes that you rarely find anywhere else. Everything is superb from the appetizers, the entrees, desserts, wine selections. Rebecca is very cheerful and on the ball constantly and really takes the time to get to know her customers and to describe each dish very vividly and offers top notch advice. Very good service too.
Ahhh! I can’t say enough good things about Rebecca and her amazing staff! They are so talented you have to just go there to see what I’m talking about! To die for! Not to mention the hospitality and atmosphere! I’ve been to some of the best restaurants all over the world and Rebeccas’s is still MY FAVORITE! I’d give them 10 stars if I could! Love, love, love
The problem is Reza has untreated mental disorders, and Rebecca is strung out. You should hear the trash they talk about thier closest clients. Voted Connecticuts worst place to work for 11 years. Half the food comes from Smiths.
Beyond awful. I never leave reviews but I have to say this was the worst meal I ever had. I honestly think they used frozen reheated bread it burnt my hand; the vegetables were limp and watery, diced as if they had come from a packet, the fish totally overcooked and bland, the service completely sloppy and indifferent. Bear in mind that main courses are around $50-$150. I could go on. Just don’t go. Please.
Is it expensive? Yes. Also, it’s a dining experience so you will not be in and out in 60 minutes. The food and preparation is worth every penny. The wines and champagne by the glass are noteworthy. Foie gras dumplings are the most amazing thing you will ever eat. Other favorites are the sweat breads no longer on the menu so need to call ahead. The veal, duck, scallops, and sole are always exceptional. But always a great idea to try “on and off” menu dishes like pheasant or elk.
I loved the clean, simple and stylish decor, most delicious food and lovely service. I mean...the food. And loved the atention Rebecca gave us. Odd reading some of these reviews.... The beautiful restrooms are worth mentioning- also heated We went in December. It was my birthday and very memorable. Would love to go again - for now I will just remember the short ribs in my dreams!
Awkward experience. The clientele NOT THE RESTAURANT OR STAFF seemed rigid and in the vein of a“Stepford Wives” reality. I was actually looking forward to this and was underwhelmed. Missing warmth and coziness in the ambiance even considering the particular tier it occupies. 1-10 Scale: Food: 8 Ambiance: 5 Other guests: 3 Service: 9 Cleanliness: 9 Staff: 9
Menu and food prep is on point. The foie gras dumplings are delicious, as is the lamb. The prices, as noted by others, are outrageous. Wine list is on the smaller side, but has some terrific choices, especially if you're a Pinot Noir fan. But as with the food...expect to pay a substantial mark up over typical restaurant wine markups.
I can't figure out what some of the reviewers were talking about but they must have been at a different restaurant. This place is excellent all around.Yes, it is in the expensive category but I was impressed with everything. We had the dover sole, lamb, veal, & halibut plus salads etc. and then three desserts. The desserts are worth the trip on their own. And BTW on the wine list there are a few nuggets nestled next to the Petrus that are great.
amazing amazing amazing. The food here is spectacular. The salads and fish dishes are great as well as the desserts. The atmosphere is wonderful with a nice look into the kitchen. A great find in a quiet area of Greenwich. A must try
