Over the past year, i've had the opportunity to graduate from the Recovery Ranch. I've been to various programs and sober livings before, none of which helped push me to change my life and be successful in my Recovery. They also offer career opportunities and jobs, working with other graduates of the program in recovery. I've been working for Ranch Hands, a handyman/construction company where I have had an opportunity to learn a new trade. Recovery Ranch is constantly thinking of new ways to start businesses, giving us a chance to work while staying connected to the program. A huge part of me staying sober is surrounding myself with other people who are sober. The Ranch gave me a new life.

I came to The Recovery Ranch in September of 2015 after a 30 day detox in Colorado. I knew very little about the program, but it ended up being the best decision that I ever made. I came in with no direction in my life, desperate to change, but with no motivation or knowledge of how to do it. All I knew was that I could not get sober without help. Although difficult at times, the accountability and brotherhood at The Ranch have changed the course of my life.

The Ranch is far from just a sober living; we learn how to grow up as well as have fun in recovery. I've experienced much in the past seventeen months; from backpacking Yosemite to organizing a golf tournament, to learning how to become a leader. Although the groups we have can be overwhelming at first, the skills and things about myself that I've learned during my time at The Ranch are essential to me continuing to live a happy, sober life.
