Absolute best best of coffee I’ve had in a long time!! Was traveling through the area and googled for a coffee shop. So glad I came here. Don’t miss this place if you are passing through the quad-cities. Definitely worth it!! Would’ve given 10 stars if I could’ve. We had the 3-shot Americano. Superbly roasted coffee and brewed by people who know how to make espresso.
Redband Coffee Co. is an institution in the area, but one I had not yet visited since returning to the Quad Cities Area a few years back. I'm not a huge coffee person, so I had little reason to seek them out. At any rate, I had recently had a sandwich at the Blue Spruce General Store and needed a walk, so what better place to walk to close by than Redband? It definitely doesn't look much different on foot than it does driving by - it occupies a relatively small red brick building that, if not for the signs indicating the place sells coffee, could be mistaken for a house on 4th street. The interior is not much to speak about, either. A plain grey concrete slab floor, white drywalls, and a white ceiling with some suspended light fixtures - with nowhere to sit inside. This probably works well in the summer, as there are picnic tables outside west of the shop, but in the winter the clear means of getting your hot beverage is to just go through the drive thru. I ended up ordering a hot chocolate again, not a coffee person and got the last peanut butter cookie they had available. I briefly sat at one of the picnic tables to pause and enjoy both. The hot chocolate is definitely on point - some kind of foam or cream on top, smooth and rich throughout - definitely some of the best I've had in the area. The cookie was similarly good - it was peanut buttery and just a little chewy, perfect to have with a hot chocolate. Not sure I'd come back here again, if just for the fact that I typically like places I can sit down and enjoy a drink with a book or a newspaper. Still, both the hot chocolate and pastry were fantastic and I'd recommend the place to those who enjoy getting both through the drive thru on their way to work or elsewhere. Thanks, Redband! Vegetarian options: Coffee and hot chocolate should be vegetarian, I'm fairly certain... Kid-friendliness: There's probably not an issue with children being in the space, though the limit inside the shop is four people. I'd not bring your kids here specifically to do kid things. Parking: There is some parking close by, but this is largely irrelevant as you should be using the drive thru to get your coffee anyways. Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance is wheelchair accessible. Dietary restrictions: Coffee can be a part of a keto or paleo diet, as well as other calorie restricting diets.
The egg sandwhich was a 10/10 absolutely amazing!! Minus two points cause my manager say her chorizo was tooo salty. The drip coffee is not all that great, going back tomorrow to try the New Orleans styled iced coffee.
I can't say too much about it besides, the fried egg sandwiches are tasty, the New Orleans styled ice coffee not really NOLA style and off putting. Hot chocolate is good enough even though it's steamed. Overall, it was a decent choice for breakfast.Food: 4/5
Coffee was good, not the best I have ever had but much better than going to Starbucks. The people working there were nice but the drive thru on a late Sunday morning was painfully slow.Food: 4/5
Can't agree more with all the other reviews. I also bought a bag of their roasted espresso beans. Am not from the QC area but I will be ordering their coffee online.Food: 5/5
I was introduced to “REDBRAND COFFEE” by one of our tour guides connected with the AMERICAN MELODY. By the way his name is Jeff. It’s hard to find good coffee or latte’s while working. I enjoy every sip. And now your “Fried Egg sandwich “ DELICIOUS!
Great egg sandwiches a must stop location from anywhere in iowa to east. A little pricey. Edit: They increased prices exorbitantly and reduced portions significantly. Still tastes good but doesn’t worth the price. ps. they don’t have tap water so you have to pay $3 with tax to get a small bottle of water
Best drip coffee I might have ever had, strong but not bitter, full flavor. Not to mention the insane fried egg sandwich, wrapped in foil, acting like a little blanket as the bread, egg, chorizo and cheese become one. It's busy but they are quick, park your car and walk in, it's quicker.
Most of the staff is absolutely wonderful and kind. Chelsea is a delight to speak with. Their sandwiches are so good and the coffee is the best in the area. I'm leaving a four star review because of one experience with one employee. I went in Saturday morning and asked for an iced coffee with water rather than milk or milk substitute. They seemed hesitant, but were kind enough to fulfil my request. It was good! I like Redband coffee, so I want to have it without the milk. I liked it so much that I came back to have it again the next day. I can't bring the cold brew concentrate back to NC with me, so I wanted to get my fill. Sunday morning I made the same suggestion. The cashier refused. I told them that I had it the day before and I liked it. They said that they wouldn't do it and they didn't want to get in trouble. I asked if they would give me a cup of ice so that I could make it myself. A kind gentleman behind them said they they'd give me a cup of ice, so I was able to make it with the concentrate and some water that I had in my car. I bought a couple of sandwiches, which were SO good and the iced coffee, which was also SO good.
