They are pretty lenient and concise in their paper mail, and the customer service is alright. Not perfect, not terrible. The rates are high, but it's also the cheapest electric service available in Redding. I have only had one issue with this company, and it was their site not accepting my payment and having that charged as a late payment. I think I will try paying through the mail this month.

Extremely high rates, and slow website leave a lot to be desired . The customer service isn't too bad, though. The gentleman I spoke to over the phone was extremely helpful.

Worse company EVER. Called a week before my due date of bill asked if they could wait 1 week for paycheck. Nope they wouldn't and charged my 1000 for a 100 dollor bill !! So I have paid two deposits with them now because once your shut off another deposit is required!! Have small children and had to wait 7 days for my electricity to be turned on in SUMMER!! Never have I seen such stupid and mean people! Every month my bill goes up and up and then I'll get another bill a few days later after paying whole bill saying more is owed they made a mistake( twice this has happened) . Call person up from their company they give me a different total ( twice from two different people) seems their just fishing for more money!

Just relocated out of Shasta county and they gave me less than a month (20 days) to pay my closing bill (in addition to my normal timed bill). Amounts were obscene (primarily because both bills were combined so soon). There are apparently no payment programs available when one closes their account... hah hah. It's interesting because it seems to me they'd want their money --- all they can do is send the amount to collections if one can't afford to pay the full sum. Whatever.

a few year ago while paying bills on line I made a typo and quickly , i discovered I had paid the co. $1134 instead of $134, so I cancelled the payment and went directed to the office, on the day the bill was due to pay the correct amount.(I figured they would not give me a refund on the over-payment... when I told them my story, they said well we charge $25 when you cancel a payment. No matter how I tried, they would not bend. Then when I went to write a check for the $25 and the amount actually due, they said," oh no- cash only , we do not accept checks from people who cancel them!!" really! I have never had a late fee in the 30+ years with their service. They won't give an inch.
