Went to Regal Potomac Yard yesterday to see the Black Panther. Right away, we could tell they were understaffed. The staff we encountered were not very friendly. About thirty minutes into the movie, the visual went out on, but the audio continued. We saw several people walk out to inform management and heard one man say that they intended to rewind the film so we decided to stick it out in hopes that the issue would be fixed quickly. This was not the case. The audio continued to play for about thirty minutes after which we finally gave up and left to get in line for a refund. This being a 3D movie, we paid a little over $30 for two tickets. We waited in line for another 20 minutes while a single staff member attempted to handle both the refund line and the ticketing line. Finally two additional staff members (one of which was a floor manager) arrived to help and the line began to move along a lot quicker. We heard the manager tell several people they needed their ticket stubs in order to receive a refund or readmit ticket. We decided we wanted a refund based on our experience. It came to be our turn so we presented our ticket stubs (which were on my phone) and after scanning the bar code were told the refund could not be processed and we could only be offered readmit tickets. The floor manager went to offer us the readmit tickets which we quickly realized were for a standard movie (not 3D like we had purchased) and only gave us 3D readmit tickets after we mentioned this. Which meant they had been handing these out to every 3D moviegoer before us. We called Regal customer service after leaving to file a complaint against the theater and of course were told the Regal Potomac Yard management would have to get back to us regarding the complaint and refund request. As you could probably guess, they did not and we had to call customer service again. To top it all off, the popcorn made us extremely sick for the rest of the day. I have always loved going to movie theaters and have never had an experience come even close to being as poor as this experience. While I understand the technical difficulties were not anyone's fault in particular, the whole situation was handled extremely poorly by the staff. They seemed to just want to get us all out the door and out of their hair and did not seem to care at all about any of the customers. Update: After contacting customer service, the general manager from Regal Potomac reached out to us regarding this. She was extremely helpful and was able to process our refund. I am upping my rating to three stars based solely on how helpful and nice she was. Thank you!

Great place, but the lines to get refreshments are way too long. We never got our snacks, because we didn't want to miss the beginning of the movie. A guy that was seeing the same movie as us, went right out to buy snacks before the previews even came on & didn't make it back until the movie began. #hiremoreemployees

Large theater, lots of screens and seats. Seats themselves are a bit older, as is the theater. Lacks some newer amenities such as a bar and nicer food choices and enhanced sceens/sound. Friendly staff. Good location overall

The ticket taker was the only person doing their job on a professional level. The snack counter is extremely slow. To top it all off 30 mins into Black Panther the screen goes black for over thirty minutes. No es bueno. :(

The two black old women who are responsible for taking money for the tickets are extremely rude and need to quit their job this is customer service. you are not at home with your nasty attitudes... very nasty please quit your job. Other than that the theater is great!
