The most ambitious transportation plan in the nation, Project Neon looks incredibly impressive. Special thanks to the RTC for sharing these plans with us in the meeting this week. Months ago, I went to a meeting surrounding the high speed train from Las Vegas to California. Very interesting meeting to learn about the challenges between the border of Nevada and California with those high mountains, passes and various land laws for the areas that train will travel when the train passes areas that are difficult for cars to climb.

I don't wish to write a 1-star review because 95% of the time RTC has worked with no issues for me. The 1-star rating is because when there IS an issue they are very slow to fix it. Route 210's overnight drivers have been in a slump for nearly three weeks, stranding passengers at Lake Mead & Radwick (stop 1496). Seems as though there is NEVER anyone held accountable for it. The SAME drivers make the SAME mistake over and over, this has nothing to do with any road work or police activity... just POOR, NIGHTLY performance on this route at 11:34PM every night... for almost a month. Brenda Jones assures me that steps are being taken, but nothing ever changes. Where... Is... The Accountability... with this company. ONE STAR IS WAY TOO MANY.

It takes a bit of research and calling around to find a representative, but the RTC of Southern Nevada is generally out there to improve infrastructure and they do a good job! If you have complaints, they're usually open to help if you visit in person. Remember - not all the crazy construction is RTC, there are County and City Jurisdictions as well. If you're having a problem with construction, make sure you notify the right people!

The busses regularly don't show up. They're always late or broken. They drive past you. They don't even come close to the bus schedule. And if you call RTC, they don't care, they just act like you should plan on 3 busses in a row not even showing up. Once in awhile is reasonable, but its every day and its every single route. I can't get anywhere by bus, no matter how early I leave.
