We hired Rehmann in 2011 to handle our two corporate tax accounts.  They convinced us to transfer our retirement portfolio to them as well, which we did.  After re-locating our businesses, we sought counsel from an alternative CPA/TPA.  In making the move, were informed that Rehmann not only authorized and implemented IRS non-compliant loans against our portfolio for the down payment on our home, but incorrectly filed 5500 EZ forms as well.  This mistake - found 2 years after the fact by a different TPA - required us to immediately pay-off a $38,000 portion of our loans - otherwise our portfolios may be in default and dissolved.  Rehmann did process the VCP to the IRS on our behalf because they knew they were negligent, but were unwilling to do anything else to help us rectify the penalties and interest we incurred due to their responsibility for the unforeseen loss of our savings.  As an aside, we had federal tax forms filed by them with incorrect EIN numbers and incorrect addresses as well.  All fuel for the fire on why you do not want to be affiliated with Rehmann or Rehmann Financial.
