Story

*Under new ownership since February 2017 - Open year-round

The RV Park was originally developed in 1972 along the Middle Fork of the Coquille River in Southwest Oregon. Because the RV Park has a unique location along the river and in a valley, it has a perfect setting for relaxing and being one with the outdoors. It offers the experience of a mountain retreat because of the surrounding terrain and forest while benefitting weather-wise from only being at a 270 foot elevation and within 40 miles of the coast.

Hunting is very popular in the area. Fishing is available for native steelhead, salmon and cutthroat in the backyard, or in the Coquille or Coos River estuaries. Several other streams are available as well.

Many RV and Motor Coach Clubs utilize the park numerous times a year. Along with the RV sites, we have three charming little cabins with river view. A truly relaxing getaway!

Remote Outpost RV Park is family owned and operated.

Nothing bad I can say about this place. Rob and Idi (prounced Edee) are wonderful! They purchased the park four months ago, so any negative reviews before February 2017 are from the previous owners. Very well kept R.V. spots and cabins as well!!! Friendly, courteous, service with a smile! Campers are treated with respect and a feeling that they are welcome. Clean park and great rates!!!! Open year around, in my opinion this place should be full the whole time. There's a common area for gathering, a place to play horse shoes and river access too. I could go on forever. Check it out for yourself, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful location right on the Coquille River. Perfectly manicured, lush, green, gorgeous park. Widely spaced, level, full hookups & everything in working order. Kitchen & dining room facilities and nice outdoor covered fireplace and giant TV for camper use. New owners are friendly & helpful. One of the best parks we've visited.

This R V park is heaven. We had a friend tell us about it a couple of months ago. We have stayed there several times since. It is our go to R V park now. This park is between Roseburg and Coos Bay on Hwy 42. You will find easy access to well maintained streets. The owners, Rob and Edie, are amazing. We have found them helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The park is spotless.. Sites are level, clean, and gravel. Most sites are back in, but good size. 50 amp sites are offered too. Many sites back up to the river. Beautiful trees, shrubs, grass abound. We have never had a problem with tv, cell, or wi fi. Nightly prices are very reasonable. Just ask the owners for what you need. This park has a zero tolerance for trouble makes. A sturdy gate closes after dark. There is a nice rec room inside, and also a big outside gazebo, with a big tv, fireplace, comfy seating, in which we have attended a dezert social in the evening several times, at the owners invite. The owners come and greet all. There are many games to play, for inside and out. Even a little library. On the property you will find a small, clean laundry, and showers.. There are a few cabins here and there, also. This park has abundant grass areas, flowers, and is pet friendly. Safe areas to walk. An easy walk to the river adds to things to do. Something for everyone. We always feel welcome, safe, and have met so many other R Vers at this park. This is one of the few parks we recommend with no hesitations. Ken and I are both retired, and have a 38 ft class A, 3 slides, with a toad. We also share our rig with our Dachshunds aka "The Wrecking Crew". Happy we can share our love of this wonderful R V park. We also hope everyone will enjoy Remote Outpost R V park as much as we do.. But please leave a space for us and "The Wrecking Crew".. Happy travels to all. God Bless. Ken and Sharon Myres..
