The department protects a rural/residential area of 40 square miles including 8 miles of the Kansas Turnpike. We are a public department, whose members are all on volunteer status. We operate from one station with 5 trucks. We provide mutual aid with all departments in Leavenworth and Jefferson Counties, and at this time Eudora City Fire in Douglas County.
