They waited until my delivery window to check my references, job, and proof of residence. When no one answered the phone at 3pm on a Thursday(working hours), they began to harass my references calling them multiple times back to back, leaving vague voicemails. I immediately called and spoke to someone who clearly knew nothing of customer service, he told me I provided bad references because they didn't answer on the first call (THEY WERE AT WORK!). I let him know that it was unethical and unprofessional to harass my references because rent a center decided it was best business practice to vet customers during their delivery window. They had that information for over a week and waited until the absolute last minute to do their job, then harassed my my references when they didn't answer. I asked to speak to his manager who was very apologetic and accommodating. As mush as I wanted to demand a refund and be done with this terrible experience, I requested the couch be delivered under my limited time to find an alternative. (Who else rents couches for only a month??) When the couch was delivered it SMELLED and it had STAINS. It took me ten minutes to wipe the couch clean. It took me 30 seconds to clean off a big white stain that was a noted defect in the store. They are so lazy they didn't even try to clean it. It literally took me 30 seconds and it was gone. They will get the couch back in better shape then when it was delivered it to me. I Febreezed and hand vacuumed the couch as well, SMELLS GREAT now. I knew they weren't the best option but they were the cheapest rental couch I could find. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

They are the rudest group of people I have ever meant. They don't believe in customer service and when it comes down to it they don't care either. Once I pay off my agreements I will never deal with rent a center again.
