Very cool atmosphere. Food is delicious..very 50's type carhop joint. Can eat in your car, inside the restaurant or at tables outside that are covered. The two carhops were very attentive, helpful, polite and friendly. The onion rings are amazing!! We will definitely recommend to family and friends, as well as make return visits!!

Retro Dog is awesome. The Carolina Dog is how chili dogs should be -- with slaw and yellow mustard. Huge variety of different specialty hot dogs, so there's something for everyone! Nice selection of floats and shakes too! Also, the whole place has a really cool aesthetic that's a blend of 1950's Americana that's been given a stylized, modern touch. Lastly, you can go inside or use their drive-in diner service (which seems to stay open even during the winter), so make sure you tip your carhops!!

I really like this place! The staff were really cool and patient. The restaurant is always clean when I dine inside. There's really nothing bad to say about Retro Dog other than the prices are a little high for a hot dog joint.

Wonderful custard! My daughter ordered a cheeseburger kids meal with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. She ate a few bites and then commented that it was salty, she's 8. 8 year olds don't usually point out something is salty unless it is, I tried it and thought it was pretty salty also. The pickles are chopped like a relish pickle and the lettuce is shredded, combined with the mayo it made for a messy burger. My husband got a burger he thought it was good, so idk. The inside of the restaurant is really fun. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. It was my first time there, and I know we'll be back.

A+ burgers and dogs. Simple, done well, everything you'd want. White hot with chili, cheese, jalapeño and onions was fantastic. Burger was simple well done burger with flavorful beef. Great service and friendly staff. I don't think they market themselves well enough. They should be way more popular.
