I have been coming here for years and absolutely love it. The main house is lovely to explore, especially the attic where historic clothing and toys are on display. The museum has a great selection of American art, and the wing has excellent rotating exhibits. The grounds are beautiful to explore on a sunny day, especially the botanical garden and the trails by the lake behind the house.

Fantastic American Art and Historic House Museum in one! Unique place and beloved by W-S residents. The modern addition has more space for traveling exhibits, lectures, etc. They show movies on the lawn in the summer, have camps and other events through out the year. Gardens and Village stroll make for the perfect afternoon.

My first visit to Reynolda Village..House Website didn't give much information about village, dining options, etc.so we felt pretty lost coming in. Also, gps brought us in the back way and no signs for house. Once we ended up at the Village, lack of signs was still a problem. Many signs were painted on only one side so if you were coming the wrong way you couldn't see them. Once we got oriented, it was a great visit. Food at the tavern was the best. PLEASE improve signage, both entrances and around the village.

The house and grounds are beautiful! And the workers are very informative if you have questions! Just a wonderful experience. You can finish it quickly, or wander for hours. It's up yo you.

Wasn’t to happy with how things went yesterday with my friends and their families. I was their with my kids, that I homeschool, trying to discuss the history answering questions and talking about what we were seeing. We paid $18 each to walk through something that we couldn't even enjoy because of your employee telling us to be quiet that we were to loud. Not to mention, telling us that we needed to keep my kids with us. These were High School kids wanting to learn about the Reynolda House. Plus our kids were with us, or at least an adult with them when they went in different directions. It’s kind of hard to talk to a group of kids when we are being watched like a hawk and being told pretty much not to talk. It was very hard trying to discuss everything we were looking at as we walked from room to room. We were hearing the ladies and gentlemen telling each other in their little mic that our group was heading that way. Our kids wasn’t a distraction at all, they were reading and talking about things they were seeing. I will admit one of our kids did set on a bench with a rope, but to be honest he didn’t know he couldn’t set there. So my advice, instead of a little bitty rope why not put “please do not touch” sign on the things people are not to sit on or touch. Now, when we walked to the garden, which was beautiful by the way, we were asked to leave because we didn’t have reservations to be there. Ummm I didn’t think we needed reservations to walk in the garden or in the village, when were walk-ins that paid $18 each to be there. I was very disappointed and will probably not ever go back their. My kids even said it was the worse experience they have ever had on a field trip. I personally feel that it was way to much money wasted. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Michelle
