Visiting the area from Raleigh and decided to check it out. Loved it. Will be back if ever in Greensboro again. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed talking to them about the animals. The exhibits were the right size for the animals, no boredom pacing like I see in other zoos. It was very cute to see the chickens, guinea hens, and a peacock roaming free.

Aquarium and new underwater center are wonderous. Touch a stingray in the touch tank. Watch the jellyfish, they are hypnotic! Check out the Foucault Pendulum. Outdoor animals include tiger, anteater, maned wolf, and many more! The African Penguins and the informative zookeeper talks and twice daily feedings make this a great stop in Greensboro for visitors and a gem for residents.

Watched this place grow from about the time my daughter was 7 until now when her daughter is 7 (30+ years). It was wonderful back then though much smaller. And it is even more wonderful now. Kudos to all the businesses, agencies, foundations and many individual citizens who continue to support this fun and educational place!

I loved it- went with my boyfriend and no children and it was still a lot of fun. The zoo was hot but you could always go hang out in the aquarium again to cool off. Lots to do and lots of walking, but they did have plenty of benches and seats so taking a sit down break wasn't hard. Overall great experience and well worth the money.

With is truly an 'all ages' location, and annual membership paying for itself if you go more than two times a year. It makes an amazing weekly activity for preschoolers, and there's an indescribable delight and joy seeing such creatures up close. It really helps you feel more connected to the world around you.
