We got the pleasure of visiting the museum on a business trip to the area, for a rock and mineral admirer this place is the best place to be. We got lucky enough to walk around the museum with the awesome and highly knowledgeable tour guide Jordan during our visit. The museum is beautifully arranged and contains some very breathtaking specimens. This is a must visit location for everyone, but especially you rock hounds...prepare to be inspired, you'll be slicing through those hundreds of pounds of rough stone you've been collecting over the years in no time after being here. The gift shop has great prices and the admission to the museum is a great price. We will definitely be back again.

Really cool museum and mesmerizing rocks, minerals, and fossils! Interesting exhibits throughout this house-transformed-to-museum and bits of history about the people and events surrounding the site. Great for kids and adults alike. Staff are wonderful and very obviously passionate about their job!

The BEST place to buy rocks! The museum is beautiful, the staff are great- friendly and knowledgeable, and they have an amazing display of rocks of all kinds. You need to go, take your kids, take your friends, take your friend's kids!

Beautiful and interesting displays that kept my young children engaged for 3 hours plus room outside to run off extra energy. Totally worth the drive from Vancouver. Gift shop has items I felt good about buying unlike some other museums. We also had lovely interactions with the staff. This place is a real gem! 😉

We always learn something new here. And, kids love the rock pile! Each kid can pick out a free rock. If you're wanting more for rock tumbling (etc.), they charge a nominal per pound price.
