Came here with some friends for lunch in January and I was shocked that it was so packed until I realized it was a holiday. Fortunately, they went thru customers fast and we didn't wait long. The place had a great old time diner feel and the waiters was awesome. So the experience was great. I had the Crab Cake sandwich that I loved. Importantly, the potato salad was almost as good! Overall, this is a place that I will return to again and again in the future as it hits all the requirements.
Super friendly and wonderful comfort food. Nice decor, the restaurant does have a nice 50s decor and appears to be in a former Rexall drug store. Definitely worth a visit. I don’t normally do dessert but the ice cream that everyone kept ordering looked incredible and it was. We will be back next time we are in Mathews.
The food was very good, the server friendly and helpful and the restaurant was as clean as any I've seen. We were also very pleased with the prices. Not inexpensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. The Chesapeake Burger was very good and very large and my wife's Grilled Chicken Melt was cooked just well and very good. Beware! We ordered the Cheese Fries as an appetizer and the serving was so large it could have been our dinner! They were so good we brought most of them home for our son. There is no excuse to leave this restaurant hungry, so enjoy!
Today my mom and her service dog came into Richardsons to place a order for six piece chicken tender and fries $12.01 was given a menu to small to read and sent out side to order at window she asked for crunchy fries they were soggy and limp same with the chicken soggy and limp tasted a day old this is only my second time at ordering from Richardsons I called to see if I can get order replaced they said that's just a chance you take when ordering to go im sorry but that's not right if someone comes and orders food and has to wait 20 minutes for it to cook then why is it cold as ice ? and no utensils given with the tray of food not happy highly disappointed do not recommend #SoggyLimpChicken #SoggyLimpFries #NotServiceAnimalFriendly
This was my first time in the area , was with some of my friends and decided to stop in was a bit crowded but it was busy hours. The waitresses were all very nice and delivered our food in a timely manner. Decor was very vintage and is both informative and appealing . The food was amazing and the milkshakes are spot on . Will definitely be coming back if I’m ever in Matthews county.
This place had so much potential. A varied menu. Good menu. And provided the most outrageous lack of service I have ever encountered in a great while Waitress was extraordinarily rude by all definition. Clearly we were disturbing her. Just nasty attitude WHEN she bothered to be there at all! We couldn't even get water refills. Add to the vulgar lack of any hospitality or manners on the wait staff, you had 2 shrieking kids in there that continued to let out such abysmal, loud, nerve shattering screeches, we could barely hear each other. I will make it a point to tell other visitors to Matthews County to stay clear of your establishment. NEVER AGAIN.
This was our first time eating there. We had the fried shrimp dinner. Price 23.99 12 shrimp fries coleslaw. The food was good and the service was great. Little pricey for me.
Love this atmosphere. The food was good and well-priced, the sides were not typical, and the desserts were worth their weight in gold. The waitresses were great and the food came out quickly. We are from out of town and this place was recommended. Glad we followed that advice!
New Year's Day brunch, and this place was HOPPIN'! Couldn't complain about the wait - every single employee was working hard, on inside and outside tables. And, as busy as it was, our server kept a smile on her face. Great food, great service - always a pleasure to come here!Food: 5/5
