Called several times to order items that are on their website only to be told that the item was discontinued. The sales clerk I spoke to offered no suggestions and was generally very unhelpful. Will never call back.

Walzing Matilda, 37ft Beneteau First, is ageing. More than 30 yrs now. From time to time pieces fall apart. Like the Isomat spreader bolt bushings did, like some Goiot stanchion bases did, like the Amiot main traveller car did. And more. Rigrite has over the years provided replacement items many times. To my judgment excellent parts, excellent assortment & excellent service. Overseas shipment. Over and over again. I would choose a supplier closer to my harbour. I have been searching. I have found none (zero!) matching Rigrite.

I have an older Kenyon boom I wanted to refurbish with new exit block sheaves. The woman I spoke with was so miserable and unpleasant to deal with I decided to contact my local sail loft to see if they could help. The GM told me that he only deals with Rig Rite/ Kenyon if he has no other choice because of slow lead times, unhelpful service and mark ups 200-300% higher than they should be. I'm getting 4 custom made exit block sheaves through a local guy who was super nice, I don't need to pay shipping, and I don't need to spend my hard earned money with someone who couldn't even be bothered to look up a simple part number for me, all for about half the cost.

I'd like to address this to Mr. Houghton, President of Rig-Rite, Inc. Mr. Houghton, as a former business owner, I realize the importance of customer service, as I'm sure you do. No doubt you are unaware of the terrible attitude displayed by the woman who answers your phone and therefore, is the first (and last) impression people have of your company. I would like to think she simply had a bad day or perhaps has not been educated in how to provide good customer service. But after reviewing the responses of those who have had similar experiences with her over the years, I must conclude that is not the case. I can only guess at the amount of business you have (and continue to) lose by retaining her as an employee but it must be considerable.
