Great prices and huge portions for this delicious authentic Cuban food. The host was fun too, making the place feel very welcoming as if dining in the home of a family member. Everything was delicious, from the rice and french fries to the beans, and especially the steak. A Cuban friend from Miami told me I have to order the steak, fries, rice, and beans from here while I was in town, and he was right - it is definitely worth the trip!

If you like a good palomilla steak this is definitely the spot. It's a small hole in the wall where the waitresses all look like they can be your grandma. The steaks come with a heaping pile of fries served on top. This is their specialty so don't stray to far from it on the menu. Soda machine was broken both times I've been here.

I would not go to this place EVER again. i disliked the food, the service was terrible, it has simple lost it touch. I was between this place and Chilli's, I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO CHILLI'S!!! don't go here to eat, it's not a homey place, it's not a place for family. the food is made of poor quality, I really didn't like the restaurant

Honestly I have no idea what the hoopla is with restaurant. This restaurant was suggested by a friend as an alternative to the usual Cuban food in Miami, and boy was that a mistake. The food is overpriced IMO. A boneless milanesa chicken steak $16.69 GTFOH. This is Miami not some town where there is no competition for gods sake you have La Carreta and Sergio's near by. So I ordered the breaded steak and it was all wrong. The batter was greasy and just not right. Then I'm told no Coke only Pepsi from a fountain is served and am offered Iron beer as an alternative, thanks but no thanks. My wife asked if it was possible to have the steak sandwich but with the bread that is used to make a midnight sandwich and was told flat out no! No type of trying to accommodate the customer at all. She's asked at multiple restaurants and all have obliged. Hell even Las Palmas on 8th street makes it for her no problem. So she finally settles for the Caldo Gallego and well it was ok but not even remotely as good as she's had at other places. Honestly I don't know about the 4 star rating. You also have to pay on your way out the waitress doesn't do this for you. Not a big deal but still after everything else that had transpired I was just irritated at this point. Never going back. Wish them well I guess they have their clientele but I won't be one of them.
