Story

Rita's is a one-of-a-kind, family owned restaurant bar. Housed in an old farmhouse between Libertyville and Lake Bluff, this landmark is one of the last of a long tradition of "road house" restaurant/bars.

Best known for her fish fry's (perch and cod and available on Wednesday, Friday's and Saturdays), Rita's also draws folks in for their burgers (hand pressed), rib eye and their prime rib (which is served only on Saturdays).

The winter menu also features the much desired homemade meatloaf on Mondays. Which, by the way, diners receive a 10% discount on their food and beverages on Mondays.

Restaurant hours are noon to 8pm Monday through Saturday, except on Friday's when the kitchen is open until 9pm. The bar stays open until midnight and is open on Sundays noon til whenever. The regulars usually bring some food to share on Sunday. Contributions are always welcomed.
