This was one of the most hectic, stressful and humiliating experiences I've ever had at a medical facility - with a Doctor. Of course Dr. Robert Ritch does not take insurance and his office visit is $600. I flew from New Orleans to visit Dr. Ritch as he was referred through "Fit Eyes". He was rude to all of his staff and once I was in his room, he kept finding staff mistakes and stopped our appointment to bring in his staff and chastise them. This created an erratic and fragmented appointment. Once I became agitated and no longer willing to witness his abuse of everyone around him, he started to abuse me - of course. He was one of the single foremost horrible medical experiences I ever had in my life. I think he uses his platform to abuse patients and staff alike. He may or may not know what he is doing.....I didn't have the luck to receive his attention but I did have to pay his bill. If you want to be respected as a woman and a human being - don't go to Dr. Ritch. He needs to retire, he's angry, bored and too concerned with administration than his patients. HATED HIM.

Dr. Ritch is a great glaucoma doctor. His knowledge is well known. My local eye doctor was his student. My friend’s glaucoma doctor was also his student. When I went to Taiwan, my relatives found two famous eye doctors for me. Both of them said that Dr. Ritch was world class. I should continue to be taken care of by him. When I want to Shanghai, China, I went to a famous eye doctor to check my eyes. He told me that he knew Dr. Ritch because he read Dr. Ritch’s book. Dr. Ritch is also very patient oriented. He gave me his e-mail address and cell phone number. I asked him a question via e-mail one Saturday evening; and he responded within 3 hours. When I had an eye infection on one Sunday, Dr. Ritch remotely assembled a team of doctors to take care of me.

Dr. Ritch is a fabulous doctor, he's been treating my son's Congenital Glaucoma since he was 2 months old and recently treated his sibling to rule out the same condition. He knows his subject matter very well and is definitely in the top of his field. I am so glad that I was referred to him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ritch's for over 12 years, and he is the best glaucoma specialist there is. His exams are extremely thorough and informative. He responds to my emails immediately and has always made himself available whenever I have questions or concerns. His dedication to his patients is astounding. The staff is excellent and extremely knowledgable. I am giving my highest recommendation.

Very helpful and took time to explain my condition to me. Glad I got a second opinion because I found out surgery was not necessary. Highly recommend Dr. Ritch. A++++++++ all the way.
