Sandy has been my hair dresser for more than 20 years. The salon is clean and well organized, the retail section is appealing and nicely merchandised. Sandy and her staff are committed to the Aveda brand and regularly attend educational events which allows them to stay current with popular trends and methods. I always look forward to my appointment at Rituals!

I have gone to RItuals several times for pedicures, massages and facials. I decided to try out the salon with a cut, color and highlight. It took three hours, resulted in hair color the opposite of what I had requested, and I was charged $170 for the visit. When I inquired as to the reason for the price, I was given the list of services and each was charged separately...including the toner used. I have NEVER been charged for toning after highlight. Nor have I ever been charged for each separate service in getting a cut, color and highlight. (I would add my hair was not actually "cut" as I am growing it out...she did a slight amount of thinning and trimmed the bottom of the back of my hair.) When I asked for a manager, one of the girls already standing there (Mariah, sp?) took over and did nothing. I told her I had no idea they would charge for toning as I had never been charged for that at any other salon. She asked if the stylist had talked about toning and I indicated she had but that she had never told me it was a separately charged item. This conversation went round and round and ended with me being told that is the way they do it and kind of, "tough luck." I will never give this business another dime of my money.
