Have tried this place too many times hoping for a better experience.. second to last visit we went in for lunch and were the only two people there. Our sandwiches took over an hour. Server apologized a few times. Last night we thought we’d try again. I would comment on the beer but I ordered one and never received it. The food took unreasonably long and arrived room temperature. The salad was hot from sitting under the heat lamp while the staff hung out at the end of the bar.. Won’t be back. Too many great places in Bend.

In a town with so many breweries to choose from, this one has lots of really good competition, and unfortunately I do not feel like it was one of the standouts in the crowd. The vibe is more of a locals place, the kind of place that you would hang out with friends and watch a game on the many TVs they have. We didn't do a full beer tasting, so there is a good chance we may have missed a great one, but we tried the Black River Oatmeal Stout and the Boxcar Rapids - both were good, but nothing I would rush back for another glass of. For food we were just snacking so we ordered 2 things on the happy hour menu - the Jalapeno wrappers were not what we expected based on the description, basically just cream cheese in a wrapper - no jalapeno zing to them. Nachos were better, but just ok. Service was good and attentive, they seemed to know their regulars at the bar - another reason it had that locals place kind of feel to it. Overall it isn't likely to be on our return to list since Bend has so many options for a traveler to pick from during their limited time there..... however if I were a local I probably would return.

I got the beer sampler and rarely does it happen that I enjoy every beer, but I was not disappointed in any of them. The service was really good and friendly and the food was good too. I had the Alaskan Cod Fish tacos and would highly recommend. You get three good sized tacos. My husband had to finish them for me. We go on brewery tours everywhere we travel, have worked at breweries, and home brew...we know our beer, and Riverbend was a great first stop on our Bend tour!

Service is more like a dive bar. Seat yourself, very laid back, but the servers are happy to change channels if your game is not on. If you don't get service, remember this is a sports bar, not a typical brewery, so just find a server. Food and beer have improved, and the beer selection keeps getting better for non IPA drinkers. Rarely super busy except when Oregon or Seahawks play.

Plenty of TV's to watch Sunday morning football and a friendly enough waitress (who didn't offer or bring water). That's where the good ends. If you're considering breakfast. Reconsider. $9 for French toast, which consisted of 2 tiny pieces of toast. Robbery. $14 for the country breakfast included two micro biscuits with a small ladle of gravy, 2 eggs, 1 cup of fried potatoes , and bacon. Another sad plate. 16 oz mimosa for $11, really? There are many other options in Bend that provide a better value. I'd suggest passing up Riverbend
