Celebrating over 50 years, Riverdale Farm Campsite is a family campground located along the banks of the Hammonasset River in the shoreline town of Clinton, CT.

Come discover one of Connecticut’s true family vacation gems. Part of a 100-acre Colonial Farm, Riverdale Farm Campsite is nestled between a winding country road and the meandering Hammonassett River. We offer a fine choice of campsites ranging from wooded, waterfront, and grassy meadow locations. Water, electric, and 3-way hook ups are available, including 50 AMP service. Campsites include a picnic table and fireplace on each site, along with the modern accommodations of cable television and free access Wi-Fi. Even on-site rentals are offered for those who still enjoy the thrill of camping! Available to all of our campers are clean bathroom facilities and a 24-hour accessible laundromat. Located 3 miles from Hammonasset State Park Beach, we are close access to cozy and friendly shoreline towns that offer great shopping and dining. Main attractions include the Clinton Crossing Outlets, Tanger Outlets, Essex Valley Railroad Steam Train & River Boat, and the Goodspeed Opera House. Riverdale Farm Campsite prides itself on offering in-house family friendly activities, such a BBQ Dinner Events, Corn Roasts, and Live Music. We maintain a jam-packed Activities Schedule from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, with even a few scheduled events on our off-season weekends. For every day enjoyment, Riverdale also offers recreational sport courts, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, an arcade room, and a communal garden. Don’t want to commute to the beach? Riverdale offers complimentary lounge chairs on the beachfront of our spring-fed swimming pond. There is also a communal fishing dock for fisher men and women to have easy access to fresh water trout fishing on the Hammonassett River (CT fishing licenses can be easily purchased on the CT DEEP website). The atmosphere at Riverdale Farm Campsite can be best described as friendly and relaxed. While we strive to maintain a relaxed atmosphere, we also strive to ensure the comfort and security of our customers. Riverdale Farm Campsite is a gated community and offers a state of the art gate system that is both easy to use and secure.
