I was in town for a conference and had a few hours to spare my last morning before flying home. I grabbed breakfast and coffee and then walked the park for about 90 minutes. It was a great morning. A little brisk, being late October, but the sun was out and the walking kept me warm. 

The park is beautiful and a good size. They were doing some construction on one area but it wasn't very loud and did not distract. There are lots of paths so even if you wander aimlessly, as I did, and walk back and forth multiple times, as I also did, there are multiple paths and stairways and bridges to keep mixing it up. I highly recommend, just walk down past the big red radio flyer!

What a treasure in the Heart of the City! This park is expansive!!  goes for blocks and blocks and has great views of the waterfalls. Lots of History plaques to read. Great place for bicycling jogging picnicking taking the kids out or just a leisurely walk by yourself. Spokane has ample $5.00 parking too pretty rare in a larger City. If you can I'd really consider bringing your bike I walk 10 miles and didn't even do the entire whole Loop!

We hit the place off-season, so everything was closed and construction was everywhere.  I'm sure this is a really nice place to go in the summer, but not as much during the fall.  Still, the cascades were very nice and quite enjoyable.  If you're in the area, it's still worth a brief stop, off-season.

We drove from Seattle to Spokane to see the Lantern Festival. Beautiful and not over hauled. The show that they provide is fun and entertaining. Really enjoyed this. (just catching up Nov 2015)

Always a great place to get out and walk around. Has many festivals every year, a theater, carousel and gondola. Lots of new construction soon to be finished so it should get even better soon.
