Story

Riverton Self Storage is a brand new state-of-the-art, climate controlled self storage facility. All of our units are inside the building which has been designed to greatly reduce the air moisture, control the temperature, and help our customers protect their valuables.

Riverton Self Storage is located in the famous former Hitchcock Chair Factory Store on the Scenic Farmington River in Riverton Connecticut. This was a significant renovation process allowing us the opportunity to turn this historic building into a 21st century state of the art self storage facility.

During our renovation we took many carefully planned steps to create an environment that safely secures our customers valuables and also reduces the carbon footprint of this historic building. With a lot of research on conservation techniques and guidance from the professionals working with us, we were able to reduce the energy consumption of this building over 75%. The building has new windows, a new roof, new heating and air conditioning and state-of-the-art Humidity Control among many other features designed to assist in energy reduction and the reduction in air moisture.

We are proud of our Secure, Professional, Convenient and Clean facility. We are also members of the Connecticut Self Storage Association and National Self Storage Association. Our Manager, Cheryl, is professionally trained.
