We are visiting Crystal River & when we inquired about an Italian Restaurant, Rocco's was highly recommended with comment that the pizza was excellent. 

The ambiance is very nice. Our waiter was new (3rd day there), but he was knowlegable & attentive. We ordered large pizza with ham, green pepper & mushrooms & extra sauce because we enjoy plenty of sauce & more restaurants are becoming rather stingy with sauce on pizza.

Wait time for our pizza to arrive was reasonable. We were asked if we would like & received hot, fresh, & tasty bread during the wait. Pizza was large - 8 very nice sized pieces. Thin crust had good flavor. Sauce was plentiful, but watery (my husband had watery sauce running down his hand & arm; I eat pizza with fork, so I did not have that problem) & lacking spices & flavor. It tasted much like plain canned tomato sauce. There was very little ham with no more than 2 rather small pieces on each slice. Not a lot of green pepper, either, but mushrooms were plentiful & tasty. Reasonably priced $13.99 for large pizza but plus $3 for the ham & $2 each for green peppers & mushrooms & mediocre sauce equaling $20.99 total, we would have give a rating of fair.

Came here with a large group of people, took 1 hour just to get salads, never got my drink, didn't get bread for 2 hours, and entrees weren't even served until 3 hours later. This restaurant is terrible and I would never eat there again. I had been there from 6-9:15 and only got bread, small plate of pasta for the appetizer, and a salad. I left because  The waitress had said that the kitchen didn't have any of our entrées ready yet.after 3 hours!!!! Didnt get my desert either. Lousy service. 0 stars. Oh and did I mention that the air conditioning was not working very well and everybody was sweating their butt off? Try having dinner with your butt sticking to the seat and your makeup sweating off.

Nice atmosphere. Waitress was extremely nice and attentive. Good bread and dipping oil, however, the chicken piccatta was extremely bland. It tasted reheated and unfresh, reminding me of something I'd find in a hospital cafeteria. The accompanying​ grilled vegetables were mediocre at best. Eggplant was very seedy. Flavor and quality was not what I expected.

Best Italian food in Florida!!! The staff and atmosphere are excellent. You'll come back again and again. Our family looks forward to coming here every time we visit Florida.
