I have had a bad experience with this school no communication with teachers. My child was supposed to have tutoring and for the pass few weeks there was no tutoring and I was not told. I had to leave work early to pick up my child when he could have just rode the bus home. This school does not give out progress reports and  reports cards. They say they do but I have not gotten one yet. They say they are on MNPS schedule and they are not. My other child who is in high school have to stay home to babysit while Rocketship is closed. So now it is effecting my high school child grades. After this school year my child will not be returning.

My child has been at this school for 2 years and thus far I've  had the worse experience every year they promise me that it would be a better year it has been to the point where teachers has put there hands on my child and due to my schedule & school zoning of where  I live I have let her stay at the school, this is the 3rd time that something has happen to my child this may be her last year at the school something really need to be done at this school because  it his horrible  my child cry every morning and night  not to go to that school

Rockship is garbage now when they first  opened up they were great now it just a useless place to send your kids. Now I see why every year they get all new teachers cause the great one leave cause of the bull at the school  they really don't even need one star rating it should be zero rating for this trash school

The parking is terrible in the morning and in the afternoons. Parents blocking the roads and road raging! They should have someone in the back as well as the front directing traffic.

Please do research on this school as well as other charter schools in the metro area.  They make tons of promises and don't deliver.  Examine the learning environment and observe how children are spoken to and treated.  Look up the statistics, public schools actually out perform charter schools in the long run.  Many charter schools are run by young people that received their teaching license through an alternative program and have been in the profession for less than five years.  Watch the job openings and see how many teaching positions are vacated throughout the school year.  That should be a huge red flag!!!
