I've gone to Rodolfo Valentin Salon for a decade now. He is a rock star at Thermal Reconditioning. I also now go to Sarah and the salon for color, Keratin, and haircuts as well. They are talented crew and the atmosphere is fun and comfortable. Two thumbs up for a reliable salon located in downtown San Francisco (i.e. easy to access and convenient).

My last great haircut was two years ago in France; however, as that is a bit inconvenient to New York, I have been searching for a new hairstylist ever since, and have gotten several OK cuts but nothing great (generally in the $100-$150 range). I decided to take a leap and pay for an expensive cut with someone who seemed to have an established reputation in New York. After reading reviews and magazine mentions, I thought I would be safe with Rodolfo Valentin. I did everything that I was supposed to do, was on time, described what I wanted, and brought photos for reference. I got a bad feeling from the moment I got there, as the staff seemed to have to coax him out of wherever in the back he was hiding. After a long wait, he walked out, did not really introduce himself, and sent me over for a shampoo. No discussion while my hair was dry, no nothing. I should have run away at that moment. Then I am taken over to his chair where I show him the photos I brought and describe what I am looking for and typical problems I have with my hair. I do not think he listened to a word that I said. He took about 5 minutes, maybe, and chopped off bits of my hair, told me never to go to anyone else for a cut again, then proceeded to try to sell me on thousands of dollars worth of hair extensions. (Um, NO!) He was not unkind, but was not professional either. After that, he ran off and let his very nice assistant do the blowout. This is the first BAD haircut I have had in my adult life. I have thin, straight hair, and while it is very difficult to get a great haircut with this sort of hair, it is also hard to mess it up this badly. My appointment was just yesterday, but I look like I am growing out a bad 1980s mom haircut. I specifically said that I'd like a couple of tiny short layers at the eyes (of which I had a photo of me with exactly that), but clearly said that I do NOT want bangs, yet here I sit with side-swept bangs that will take months and months (years?) to grow out. The cut is so unflattering that I look like I have gained weight in my face overnight. He now works for Gil Ferrer Salon, and they were very apologetic about this. I have an appointment to go back next weekend to see if there is any chance to salvage this cut (if they can, I will review them well on their page). If not, I guess it is a ponytail (and a barrette for these god-awful bangs) for me for the next year.

This is the best salon in New York City that cannot be compare to none. From the minute I step in the door I got service, I got welcome with a great smile from the two front desk ladies, I was escorted to change into a robe in their changing rooms. In the way I was able to check their pretty spa, with pillows, leathers, spa music, beautiful, next time I will try their spa services. As soon as I was in Rodolfo's chair, Rodolfo showed up like a movie star with a huge smile giving me the feeling like he was my friend from many years ago. I was feeling extremely confident that when he asked me what I will like to do with my hair I answered anything you think I may need!. He told me that one process color and hair extensions will do a great job on me. I was ready!. The hair color was great, the hair extensions for which I paid $ 2800 beautiful, and I think affordable because I can re-use them, and then his magical haircut!. I told to Rodolfo "I feel like a Queen" to what he asked me, is your mom alive?, I said "yes", then you are a Princess because the Queen, your mom is alive!. Very cute, very sweet, very classy, the entire salon very clean and organized, from 1 to 10 I will say this salon deserves a 12! I want also to test their Long Island Salon, everybody talks about it! Highly recommended to any person looking for good hair services plus great customer service.

I was waiting for ages to find the right hair extensions and the best hair extensions salons, but I only see hair damage in my friends and I was scary of having them. Newsday, my favorite newspaper gave me the answer in their article: “ If you are searching for hair extensions, you have the best right here in Long Island, Rodolfo Valentin is the best hair extension salon everywhere”, they also noted that people travel from all over the country and from foreign countries to have it done. I immediately made an appointment, but I wanted to see Rodolfo Valentin himself. He was fully booked at his Long Island location for 3 weeks in a row, and I really wanted ASAP, so I booked the only appointment open he had at his New York salon on Tuesday. I all happened 3 months ago. Yesterday, I went back to get the hair infusion extensions removed and serviced (they are reusable which saves me a lot of money), and also have my roots hair color done. I decided to purchased a new hair infusion extensions set, because to service them takes 24 hours and I did not wanted to stay even one hour without them, so it is okay, now I have two sets and when I go back the next time the other one will be ready to be applied. I cannot leave without the hair infusion extensions and because Rodolfo Valentin is the exclusive owner of this product I am afraid if one day I cannot have it anymore! Many other salons are claiming of doing it, but it is not true, is not the same, be aware!. But I am also very glad that Rodolfo Valentin staff is highly knowledgeable about this product and there are other several hair stylists trained by Rodolfo to do it We all love you Rodolfo!

Best Salon in Long Island Reviews of Rodolfo Valentin - Just named New York of the Week. I was searching for Rodolfo Valentin Reviews and truly thei are unbelievable! So I decided to try their services myself last week. I did an appointment at the New York City Salon for consultation. As soon as I walked in there were two ladies in the reception desk with a big, welcoming smile which made me feel very comfortable from the very first minute I was there. They escorted me to the changing rooms and provided a robe. Then while waiting I was offered a glass of champagne by the cute floor manager of name Dennis. Even if I was waiting for around 20 minutes I was fascinated watching the parade of several customers leaving with gorgeous hair. Some very long, some medium length but all of their hair colors truly stunning. I realized that I was in the right salon for first time in my life. All my previous salons experiences were a disaster, first about haircuts, I was never able to get the perfect haircut and I must say that I have been to the most expensive and famous hair stylists in New York City. Then my hair color always dull without life. After being customer of one of the most famous hair colorists in NYC for years this is another reason why I come in to Rodolfo Valentin salon. Rodolfo is very gently and as seen in the Rodolfo Valentin reviews I must say that all those Rodolfo Valentin reviews are perfectly matching which each review and all the comments as posted. Now I have a hair color that is the talk of the town, and all co-workers at my office. Finally I got the perfect 10 haircut, also as Rodolfo suggested me, next time I will have their famous hair extensions because one of my concerns about my hair is that I never have hair enough to do other things that I will like to do with my hair like up dos for special events or just to feel a few years younger. Most of Rodolfo clients are having their hair extensions from many years and I have the opportunity to chat with some of them while having my hair color and all of them are coinciding in the same comments, like “they are the best”, “never a problem”, “very natural”, very light”, “very affordable because they can be re-used”, “I have volume in my hair”, “I achieved the length that never able to reach” and more and more positive comments. I am very happy of being part of the clientele list of the best salon in New York. Thank you!
